I visited with a group of 4 for a special dinner out. The restaurant was cold, the staff were colder. We were treated as if we were an incovenience to their night. The meal I had was oily and bland, one of the worst Indian meals I have ever had. Neither me nor anyone I know would ever go there again. Truly awful.

I think my review of this restaurant is summed up by the fact that as quite a placid man I am still calming down an hour after my visit to Rajdoot. The starters were perfectly nice but after that it was rapidly down hill! A naan bread served with the texture of a coal miners cap, a dish with a hint of vinegar which should have been called sarsons malt curry. To top it off the we had the worst service I have experienced anywhere, be that prison, junkies squat, or homeless shelter. I don't think I have ever had my knife and fork thrown at me in my 26 years.Fuming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(and we didn't get any hot flannels at the end and it cost 94) Where we do we now go for a curry in Wimbedon????

I have been a regular at the Rajdoot for several years and have enjoyed many a spectacular meal with my family and friends. The food over the years has always been exquisite and the service a delightful giggle; which has always made the experience complete! I must say as a fan i am dismayed to admit that the level of service and quality of prodice has diminished and I am dismayed to say that after 15 years i have been forced to seek a different restaurant within the vacinity. Sarkhels is a delightful restaurant - admitedly in Southfields which is a little futher but by no means disappoints! I took my partner their for his fortieth birthday with his parents and i must say a magnificent night was had by all (inlcuding his siter who previously stated that she hated Indian food!!!! and is now an avid fan!!!) I cant wait until next weekend and another fabulous meal! Enjoy.

I have lived in the village for 10 years and this has been my regular take away for the same period. We did have a spell of ordering from the bombay bicycle which is great when it eventually turns up but i think the food has improved again in the last year.I have read the reviews and am a bit surprised at the poor service. I think these guys get a bit stressed at peak times but do yourself a favour and get a takeaway....Wine with curry ... please!

Excellent food, interesting menu, good beer and service with an attitude!!!Forget everything you've read about poor service in this place ... the manager of the place does have a funny idea about how to treat customers, but in an amusing sort of way. All the other staff there are absolutely brilliant; friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The menu is good and is regularly reviewed and updated - with some interesting dishes you don''t see in a lot of other Indian restaurants.
